OUR STORY

GLAM was built on a simple idea:  every girl deserves her moment.

It all started back in 1997 when our founder, Amy, began selling prom dresses inside her bridal store, An Elegant Affair by Amy, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  What began as a small section in the store quickly exploded in popularity - and it didn't take long to realize that prom girls wanted a space of their own.  We delivered GLAM.

In 2009, we opened the very first GLAM store at Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines, dedicated only to prom.  Since then, we've grown into the largest prom and homecoming dress store in the state of Iowa, now operating in an incredible 11,000 square foot showroom.  

Girls travel from all over the Midwest for the GLAM experience.  With 34 dressing rooms available on a first-come, first served basis, we make sure every shopper has the room and attention they deserve.  We stock only prom and homecoming dresses - no bridal, no bridesmaids, no distractions.  Just the best of the best for high school students looking to stand out.

We are incredibly proud to be the only Sherri Hill retailer in our region - they do not sell to our competitors, and we carry a HUGE in stock selection of Sherri Hill prom and homecoming dresses.  If you're looking for the dress that turns heads, this is where you'll find it.
